PDS was founded in 1966 to give Kenton County’s many communities a unified approach to planning and development. What started as a forward-thinking idea in the early 1960s has grown into a cornerstone of how the county operates and grows.

Without PDS, each local government would manage these services independently – at greater cost and with less consistency. By working together, we make it easier for residents, businesses, and developers to get things done.
