As anticipated by KRS Chapter 147, Planning and Development Services of Kenton County is funded through various sources, with the most significant being proceeds from a local property tax. Local stakeholders informed legislators that they wanted a consistent and reliable source of income for the organization. As a result, legislators permitted the PDS Council to impose a tax of up to $0.05 per $100 assessed valuation for all real and personal property. The current tax rate is $0.018 per $100.
